Providing products that are Biodegradable over a period of 3 to 7 years
DaMar Plastics is on the leading edge of utilizing green, sustainable resins in the following categories:
- Post-Consumer, recycled, reprocessed resins. Examples of resins currently being used at DaMar Plastics include ABS, Nylon, Glass Filled Nylon, Polypropylene and High-Density Polyethylene.
- Compostable resins. These resins are typically plant based and can be disposed with organic waste. These materials are naturally compostable and do not need to be sent to a composting facility.
- Materials that biodegrade into humus (rich soil) by microbes within 3 to 5 years when exposed to Waste streams (trash) or marine environments (rivers, lakes & oceans). This option is now available for several resins.
In 2014, DaMar Plastics started with recycled materials and since then have expanded the solutions we can offer in all three categories.
The ultimate solution for you will depend on the physical needs and requirements of your product.
You still may require virgin resins for your product.
These solutions are particularly important for single use applications.
